cut it out!

According to Terry Francona, "Beltre is going to take out our whole outfield." First Ellsbury, and now Jeremy Hermida. Both are/were on the DL at one point or another because of broken ribs sustained in a Beltre collision in shallow left.

This isn't football, Adrian! These guys aren't made of steel, and there aren't chest pads to prevent these broken ribs. You gotta take it down a notch out there. Or turn up the communication. One or the other (or both, both would be nice). We only have so many outfielders, ya know.

"Guys are talking and we might be able to get him on the UFC tour and see if he can take those knees to someone else," Hermida said jokingly. "It's just one of those freaks things and I'm sure he feels bad about it too. It's one of those things you can't avoid. Unfortunately it happened twice in a month and a half of each other."
